Ahnfeldt Wines

AHNFELDT WINES

Bruce Ahnfeldt moved to the Napa Valley in the mid-80’s. While Ahnfeldt Wines did not begin until 2002, the Ahnfeldts planted their first Cabernet vineyard in 1985. Since planting that first vineyard, they have planted five more vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the Napa Valley. Grapes from the Ahnfeldt vineyards have been sold to BV, Markham, Sterling Vineyards, Kendall Jackson and Hagafen wineries. These vineyards produce such fine quality grapes that they are now used in the Ahnfeldt’s own wines. Ahnfeldt Vineyard Management was established to farm the vineyards and to maintain the very high standards required to produce premium Napa Valley grapes for Ahnfeldt Wines. Garrett Ahnfeldt continues to oversee the vineyard maintenance operations.

Rated “#1 Merlot in the Country” by Wine Spectator in 2005!     Winemaker – Craig McLean

CALIX CELLARS

Ehlers donates all of its proceeds to the Leducq Foundation, a charitable organization founded solely for the funding of international cardiovascular research. FOPPOLI WINES

The Foppoli family has been making boutique wines in California for nearly 100 years. In Italy, the family winemaking tradition dates back centuries. The American practice started 5 generations ago when Giuseppe Foppoli created a high end private label in a small production facility located in the North Beach section of San Francisco. Giuseppe only allowed the wine to be sold to a select list of long time customers and in the two high end private social clubs that he ran in the city.

The tradition of high end exclusivity has been passed down to Giuseppe’s great grandson Dominic Foppoli who is the current Brand Manager of Foppoli Wines. Dominic, along with his wine making father Richard, have kept the practice of making only small production lots reserved for private family use and direct sales to friends and associates. In 2002, with the addition of new vineyards on the Foppoli Family Estate in the central Russian River Valley, the Foppoli’s finally allowed a vineyard designate to be created from their excess crops. The huge public success from these designates along with the expansion of facilities on the estate finally convinced the Foppoli family to create a retail label for their wine. The 2006 Foppoli Russian River Valley Chardonnay marked the first vintage the family has ever allowed to be released to the general public. After nearly a century, the Foppoli’s hand crafted, tradition infused wine is finally available in a limited release to the general public.     Winemaker – Richard Foppoli

VILLA HERMOSA CELLARS

Villa Hermosa Cellars is a small, family-owned vineyard located on the hillside of Howell Mountain, Napa, California. With only two and a half acres of Cabernet Sauvignon vines, the wine production is small and exclusive. The vineyards are lovingly tended to by the owner, whose background as a Landscape Architect and Contractor give him extensive knowledge about plants, irrigation, soils, sun exposure, weather and the other many details that are so important in producing a high quality grape.

Our wine is created from 100% Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the rich, volcanic soil of the Villa Hermosa Vineyards on a south facing hillside 2000 feet above the Napa Valley. Here, we are above the fog line where the influence of the sea washes in. The Villa Hermosa Cellars Cabernet derives it intense color and memorable taste from this extraordinary growing environment, and our cultivation techniques that develop fruit of maximum quality.
